DC-LANE Client version 1.0 provides LANE Client support as defined in the ATM Forum LANE V1.0 and V2.0 specifications.
Functions and Features
DC-LANE Client includes the following functions.
- Auto-configuration using information from LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS)
- Unicast, broadcast, and enhanced multicast connections
- Dynamic filtering of multicast, broadcast, and unicast flood traffic
- Dynamic address resolution with advanced caching
- Support for LLC-multiplexed connections (including RFC 1483 and RFC 1577)
- Encapsulation and forwarding of AAL5 frames
- Ability to establish connections with optional QoS characteristics
- Support for FLUSH, VERIFY and READY protocols
- Full support for the LANE Client MIB
- User exits allowing packet forwarding to be done outside the N-BASE
