DC-MPOA Client provides MPOA Client support as defined in the ATM Forum MPOA V1.0 specification.
Functions and Features
DC-MPOA Client includes the following functions.
- Auto-configuration by parameter retrieval from LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS)
- Dynamic discovery of MPOA clients and servers using extended LANE Address Resolution Protocol
- Target resolution using MPOA Target Resolution Protocol
- MPOA packet tagging
- Complete connection management for transferring control information and data
- Use of shortcuts for IP packet forwarding
- Support for the MPOA Configuration MIB (and additional MIB tables specific to DC-MPOA Client)
- User exits allowing packet forwarding to be done outside the N-BASE
