From day one, you will be working as part of a high calibre, closely knit team. You will be assigned real tasks working on the design and development of complex software or hardware. It will be a collaborative process, so you will spend lots of time interacting with others as well as on your own work. We will give you the freedom to organise your work pattern, and give you all of the support and training you need to move your career forward.
Where you take that career is up to you. The speed with which you progress will be determined by your own ability and desire, not by a constraining, formal career structure. Once you have trained to a productive skill level, your personal development can:
- continue on a technical path in software and hardware development, or in customer support
- move into people and project management, taking on broad responsibility for developing your team and delivering projects on time
- take on a crucial commercial, sales and marketing, or product management role.
It is important to us that you do not feel pigeon-holed. So if you enjoy variety, you can spend time in any of these roles and take advantage of travel opportunities to work with our offices and customers in the US and elsewhere. If you excel in all areas, then you will have the opportunity to run your own division - acting effectively as an entrepreneur within Data Connection. The future is up to you.
