Data Connection Advances SIP Interoperability at SIPit22 Test Event
London, UK: April 21, 2008. Data Connection Limited (DCL), the world's leading independent provider of communications protocol software, announced today that it has successfully participated in the SIPit22 interoperability test event, which was held on April 14-18 at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab in Durham, NH. DCL brought its market leading portable SIP stack, DC-SIP, to the event along with its SigComp toolkit, a complementary product for DC-SIP that allows signaling transmission in bandwidth constrained environments, such as wireless or mobile applications.
DC-SIP is a complete package of portable source code, reference applications and designs, test applications, and customization tools. Used by many of the world's largest manufacturers of VoIP, Multimedia, and IMS equipment, DC-SIP leverages a highly available and scaleable architecture.
The goal of the SIPit events is to refine both the SIP protocol and the implementations of the numerous companies participating. The week-long event, which is held twice a year, enables participating vendors to prove interoperability with as many other vendors as possible. SIPit22 had over 70 SIP implementations including application servers, B2BUAs, Proxies, and end points.
Data Connection is a frequent participant in SIPit testing having attended 12 of the last 15 events. Data Connection utilizes the testing to advance interoperability and strengthen its latest enhancements to DC-SIP.
